CampusEAI Consortium Upgrades CampusCloud with Cisco® Unified Computing System®1

 

Cleveland - January 3, 2012 - CampusEAI Consortium's has upgraded its CampusCloud platform with the Cisco® Unified Computing System® (UCS®).CampusCloud will utilize the Cisco® UCS®  to improve availability and performance.

The Cisco®  UCS®  is the industry's first converged data center platform. The Cisco® UCS® combines server network and storage access to create a distributed system that is easily managed from a single location. Utilizing the Cisco® UCS®,

all aspects of CampusCloudwill be improved, including: myCampus

  • State-of-the-art Cisco® UCS®  B-series blades, featuring Intel® Nahalem processors and 512 gigabytes of memory each for large data sets and more virtual machines per server
  • A unified networking solution with a low-latency, 10 Gigabit-per-second Ethernet foundation.
  • Improved system management through the Cisco® UCS®  Manager software, accessible through a common web browser.

CampusCloud is a 24x7x365 high-performance computer cluster, to eliminate up front capital expenditures, to reduce the utilization of the college's technical resources and to ensure high performance, availability, stability and security.CampusCloud features include:

  • Cloud-based Hosting in SAS 70 II and PCI Compliant Datacenters
