A myCampus Portal enables academic institutions to accomplish strategic IT goals and objectives by providing institutions with an integrated technology solution to better cater to the needs of the myCampus community: students, staff and faculty. It provides all members of the myCampus community with "single sign-on" to their integrated teaching and learning interests, student services and extra-curricular parts of myCampus life.

The myCampus Portal Grant is designed for institutions seeking to implement an Intranet/Intranet Portal. Recipients of the Grant will receive substantial financial and organizational assistance in integrating a myCampus Portal into existing systems and protocols for online and distance education, SIS software and administrative computing, school web properties, student-based web publishing, wireless and e-commerce initiatives.

In addition to receiving goods and services as part of a myCampus Portal Grant, recipients will be asked to participate in assessing the efficacy of a myCampus Portal and propose new applications and improvements for upcoming updates of the product.
