The myCampus Advisory Committee provides guidance, advice and direction to the management of the CampusEAI Consortium concerning business strategy, features and functionality, opportunities for advancement and the expansion of the CampusEAI myCampus solution for higher education organizations.

Virginia Stewart

Virginia Stewart

Vice-President, Information & Instructional Technology
Albany State University

Virginia Stewart manages the enterprise infrastructure for an institution of higher education serving more than 4000 students and 550 faculty/staff users’ resources. Ms. Stewart provides operational guidelines for performance, throughput and security of a WAN infrastructure including wireless network and VoIP. Ms. Stewart has successfully championed projects for Accreditation Readiness, Cybersecurity, Administrative Systems Replacement, Residence Life Wireless Upgrade, Video-Teleconferencing, Distance Education and Learning Spaces Redesign. Ms. Stewart collaborated with Executive Cabinet, Deans and senior administrative managers to strengthen organization and infrastructure to provide world-class technical educational / administrative solutions. Ms. Stewart provides technology vision and leadership with overall responsibility for management of IT, including strategic / technical planning, technology project governance, organizational management and development, software development, and financial budgeting / control.

Patricia Kahn

Patricia Kahn

Patricia Kahn currently holds the position of Executive Director of Information Technology Services at Brookdale Community College. Dr. Kahn serves as a member of the IT Executive Council for the college and oversees and directs activities relevant to information technology (IT) budget planning and management, strategic planning, policy development and implementation, promotion and support of the widespread application of technology to achieve Institutional goals. Dr. Kahn is the focal point on technology for the campus community and the primary liaison with the campus community, with Educational Services, OIT, and vendors providing services for the development and management of IT resources.

Prior to Dr. Kahn's position at Brookdale, Dr. Kahn was employed for nine years at Montclair State University as the Director of Technology Training and Integration within the Division of Information Technology.

Anjli Jain is the Executive Director of the CampusEAI Consortium.

As the Executive Director, Ms. Jain is responsible for strategic planning, designing and administering membership planning, and coordinating the CampusEAI Consortium's core initiatives.

Prior to joining the CampusEAI Consortium, Ms. Jain was the Executive Director of a higher education not-for-profit organization focused on teaching, learning, and technology. She was responsible for providing program leadership and administering the resources of the association. Ms. jain guided the creation of a Web presence and an expansion of the association's programs in areas such as information literacy, public policy advocacy, networking with other higher education organizations, and strengthening opportunities for continuous learning.

Ms. Jain holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Barnard College, Columbia University.

Carlos Cartagena

Carlos Cartagena

Vice President for Information Technology
Cochise College

Carlos Cartagena is the Vice President for Information Technology at Cochise College.

As one of the college’s senior administrators, Mr. Cartagena is responsible for providing district-wide leadership, supervision, guidance and direction for all computer information systems technology and infrastructure programs, services, policies, procedures and personnel including administrative computing, computer and communications infrastructure services.

Prior to joining Cochise College, Mr. Cartagena served in the US Army as a commissioned officer in a variety of assignments in the USA and Europe. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Masters in Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.

Dennis Thibeault

Dennis Thibeault

Chief Information Officer
Curry College

Dennis Thibeault is the Chief Information Officer at Curry College in Milton, MA. He has served in various lead technology roles in Manufacturing, Insurance, Banking, Software Development, and for the last 16 years, Higher Education. In his current role he not only heads all aspects of technology for the institution, but also finds the time to lead by example, staying involved as a hands-on contributor. His primary focus has been to keep the college current with technology but also link applications together to provide end users with the most efficient and effective technology available.

Mr. Thibeault views portal technology as an integral component of today’s environment as it provides a platform to combine ease of use via single sign-on; effective communication via targeted messaging; and smooth integration via portlets that link to missions critical applications such as the college’s ERP system and Learning system. Dennis also remains active in the industry, participating on panels or other speaking engagements at various conferences and enjoys sharing both his experiences and views with others.

Mark Shor

Mark Shor

Chief Information Officer
Touro College

Mark Shor is the Chief Information Officer at Touro College.

Mr. Shor has more than 30 years of experience in the higher education, computer software, entertainment and government administration industries, and has been with Touro College since 1998. Previous roles and organizations that Mr. Shor has served include Director of Management Information Systems for the Metropolitan Opera Association, Programmer/Analyst for KM System Support and Senior Auditor to the Office of the New York State Comptroller.

Mr. Shor earned his BS in Accounting/Business from Touro College.

Kevin Violette

Kevin Violette

Director, Integrated Enterprise Solutions
University of North Carolina Wilmington

Mr. Violette is the Director of Integrated Enterprise Solutions at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He has been with the University since 1994, during which time he held a variety of roles including Research Technician for the National Undersea Research Center, Consultant, Systems Administrator, and Manager for the Windows Systems and Storage team. In these roles, Mr. Violette maintained responsibilities for systems and storage architecture, project planning, budgetary planning and staff management.

Mr. Violette has Bachelor of Science in Biology that supplements his experience in the information technology fields. 

Melanie J. Haveard

Acting Chief Information Officer, Executive Director of Information Technology Services and Chief Technology Officer
University of West Florida

As acting CIO (a role she is performing while the CIO is interim Vice President for University Affairs), Ms. Haveard oversees information technology strategy, services, and investments for the university. As Executive Director, she oversees projects and services provided by the Information Technology Services department. As Chief Technology Officer, she coordinates IT architecture and data management for UWF's information technology infrastructure and university-wide information systems.

Ms. Haveard has held various technical and managerial positions in her over 20-year career in IT at UWF, including lead technical roles in the design and development of the student information system and first-generation web applications providing student and employee self-service capabilities. Melanie holds a BS in Systems Science and an MBA from the University of West Florida. She is also a member of the Tableau Software Customer Advocacy Board, a graduate of Leadership Pensacola Class of 2009, and currently serves on several community boards, including the advisory board for the Pensacola Young Professionals.
